Art Project

Filed under: Art, Uncategorized — wyerl @ 10:54 pm

I’ve spent a good part of the last week trying to figure out what in the world I was going to do for my art project.  I had finally settled on doing some Photoshop work on my childrens’ pictures, but then saw that, while not forbidden, this wasn’t exactly encouraged.  So I’ve been wracking my brain to try to come up with something creative!

I was out running errands and it finally hit me!  I’ll simply make something beautiful!  I’m going to make a wind chime out of old spoons, washers, jar rings and fishing line.  Totally creative and hopefully nice to listen to as well!

My plan is to take still pictures of it step-by-step, then upload the images into my blog.

Examples from others I’ve found so far:

HGTV has some terra cotta pot chimes, as well as sea shell chimes.

About.com has quite a variety of homemade chimes.

AllFreeCrafts.com used measuring cups for a chime.

DIY Network shows how to make a copper pipe windchime, like you’d buy in the stores.

ThriftyFun.com has a silverware chime kind of what I had in mind.  But my design is different.

MakingFriends.com has an adorable chime made out of wrenches.  What a great idea for Father’s Day!!!
